Provisioning started 2026-08-20; full network over ~2 months; hypercare after each phase. Stack: roadside industrial edge devices run local inference; 3× Nx Go servers with dedicated AI accelerators hold archive/events and hardware-decode streams. Nx AI Manager detects/classifies/tracks vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, events; Nx Go calibrates cameras and publishes structured detections over MQTT and HTTP (County receives data, not video files); Nx Maps places detections on a road-network digital twin. Why it matters

Why it matters
Temporary-event / pop-up IVS blueprint: off-grid mobile multi-cam, radar+acoustic fusion for traffic, and brownfield gun detection where power is duty-cycled. Shows Axis/Hanwha/Scylla as mix-and-match, not a single-vendor SOC.

Why it matters
Another cloud + edge appliance camera (Verkada-class pattern) entering hospitality with on-cam LPR/FR and encrypted local record. FR/LPR in guest-facing venues is a compliance risk (EU AI Act, U.S. municipal FR bans)—buyers should treat those SKUs as optional, not default.

3rd Eye (Environmental Solutions / Terex) announced an AI-native fleet safety camera expanding its in-cab platform (already 360° visibility, object detection, rear auto-brake). Models run on-device: road/driver/vehicle activity with in-cab coaching (Driver Safety Assistance) via speaker + indicator lights—distraction, phone use, speeding, tailgating, seatbelt, fatigue. Edge inference for low latency and offline/poor-cellular sites; on-device severity scoring so managers review incidents, not all video. Configurable cabin privacy modes (limit recording of driver, passenger, or both while still scoring behaviors). J1939 + OBD-II telematics on one device; APIs to fleet systems. Availability: September 2026.
Why it matters
Mobile/edge IVS adjacent to site security: same on-device detector + human-in-cab loop + privacy gating pattern now expected in fixed-camera SOCs. Useful reference for waste/municipal fleets that already sit in many physical-security RFPs.

OKC Council renewed Flock (third renewal since 2023) 5–3 with a first-time amendment: 30→7 day auto-delete, limits on sharing/retention/expansion/permitted use, program sunset language. 90 city Flock ALPRs (install complete; no more planned); PD also reviews 100+ private/neighborhood ALPRs. Chief argued ALPRs capture “what the naked eye sees,” no video/audio/FR. No resident spoke in favor; ACLU Oklahoma delivered ~2,200 petitions. Critics: remaining controls are Flock’s own settings, and Flock still holds data under an irrevocable license. Contract term 2026-07-01 → 2027-06-30.
Why it matters
Live U.S. ALPR procurement pattern after a week of scorecards and cancellations: renew + vendor guardrails, not removal. Multi-tenant ALPR vendors should expect 7-day defaults, audit lockouts, and private-camera ingest to show up in municipal contracts—and expect activists to call those settings “Flock PR.”
